Logical_Consistency_Report: New York State provides a list of parcels that are currently in each district. During a
review, the present boundary is compared to the State's list to check for discrepencies due to
parcel splits/merges. Parcels to be added or removed have their AGDIST field changed
accordingly. A new boundary is then generated based on current parcel numbers.
Completeness_Report: Complete coverage for Tompkins County.
Positional_Accuracy:
Horizontal_Positional_Accuracy:
Horizontal_Positional_Accuracy_Report: Varies, depending on source of municipal boundary (survey, deed, planimetrics).

Process_Description: Agricultural districts were originally compiled in MapGrafix software from
digitized tax parcel maps. The boundaries were later converted to an Arc/Info coverage.
District 2 was reviewed in 2000 and resulted in the removal and addition of some parcels.
The boundary for District 1 was derived from the MapGrafix version and includes public
right-of-ways. District 2's boundary was derived from the Tompkins County Digital Tax
Parcel data sets and does not include public right-of-ways. The actual "boundary" is
maintained in the AGDIST field in each of the Digital Tax Parcel data sets This data set
is created by using the REGIONDISSOLVE command in Arc/Info to create a temporary
agricultural district region for each parcel data set. The individual data sets are then
combined into one data set by selecting each temporary district region in ArcEdit and
using the PUT command to place them in a common data set. The REGIONDISSOVE command is
then used on the common data set's temporary agricultural districts to merge the separate
pieces into the final Agdistrict region. The temporary agricultural districts are then
removed.
