Abstract: This dataset provides polygon coverage of the basins in the Great Lakes tributary watersheds of New York state, except for the Genesee, Black, Salmon, and Oswego Rivers.
Purpose: For use in performing any analysis requiring stream reach basins in the Great Lakes basins of New York state.

Process_Step:
Process_Description: Basins were delineated for each stream reach at the 1:100,000 scale based on the EPA Reach File Version 3.0, Alpha Release. These data were created by automatically delineating streams (using the AML file "agree.aml" created at University of Texas) then manually adjusting basin outlines to match the EPA stream reaches. The stream reaches themselves were cleaned up so that wetlands and small lake outlines were removed and rather represented as single continuous lines.
