Attribute_Accuracy_Report: Quad names were checked against data from multiple online sources, and in some cases, checked against printed and scanned USGS topographic maps.
Logical_Consistency_Report: Boundaries were copied, unedited, from TNM_CELLS
Completeness_Report: Includes all 7.5-minute quads from TNM_CELLS where the STATE field included "NY" (possibly along with other states).

Process_Step:
Process_Description: New York 7.5-minute quadrangle boundaries were extracted from the full TNM_CELLS file geodatabase. NYSDOT codes were joined as NYSDOT_ID. If the NYSDOT quad name differed from the USGS name, it is included in ALT_NAMES, which also includes a few other alternate or former names found in various other sources, such as ESRI Data and Maps, and older versions of the USGS quad index, as well as occasional spot-checks of actual paper topological maps. Finally, the USGS_HIST attribute contains any historical notes, that were provided in a personal communication from USGS staff.
